Chevrah is the Hebrew word for group or society. New for the 2013-14 school year is an educational shift in our Monday/Wednesday program. Our goal for the coming year is to enhance our wonderful education program with the addition of the Chevrah Connection. Chevrah Connection creates connections through social, cultural, educational, spiritual, Israel, and volunteer experiences. The goal of this program is for the students to grow in their connection to one another, the synagogue and their relationship to the greater Jewish world.

Melissa Weiner,  Director of Jewish Learning

Dear Families,

Often, when I explain why a synagogue education experience is different from other educational experiences, I tell parents that we are not a school, we are a family. Our primary goal is to not only educate your child in history, culture, language and identity, but also to nurture their souls. We aim for them to realize that a synagogue and a connection to the Jewish community is a support for them throughout their lives.

Each year, we choose a theme to reflect our collective goals for the children.
