Primary School
Kindergarten-2nd
grade
The key to Jewish education is starting
young. The children begin their journey in the Primary
School to become caring and knowledgeable Jews with a solid
connection to Temple life. The earlier our children begin
this learning process and gain positive experiences
associated with Judaism, the more solidly rooted their
Jewish identity will be. The Primary School meets from 4:00
to 6:00 PM on Wednesdays and creates an age-appropriate
Jewish environment for Kindergarten, First and Second
Graders. The children learn and socialize through an
integrated program of stories, games, drama, music, art,
holiday celebrations and fun prayer services.
The overall program helps to cultivate a
strong identity with Jewish traditions and successfully
prepares children for later years of involvement with Hebrew
School and Youth Programs. The Primary School has many
special programs throughout the year to enhance the learning
experience, including puppet shows, matzah baking, olive oil
press factory and many holiday celebrations. Children of
non-members are welcome to participate in the Primary School
program.
Special Shabbat Services
Special Religious
School Services & Graduation Schedule During the year, each of our
Religious School classes participates in or leads a Shabbat
service. These are wonderful opportunities for our children to
lead us in prayer and show their Hebrew mastery.
