Letter to Parents 2011 – 2012 / 5772

Dear Parents,

Temple B’nai Abraham’s Junior Youth Group, Kidz Connect, adds to the social and cultural experience of our Hebrew School, providing a great opportunity to make and reinforce friendships!

Kidz Connect, for students in Aleph through Dalet, grades three through six, meets usually in Saul Reinfeld Hall about twice a month on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 - 7:00 or 8:00 PM. 

Membership is just $45 for the year and includes pizza, apple juice and fruit in season (apples, clementines, grapes) at almost every event.  Some events will include additional foods which will be related prior, and a select few events require a small additional fee which will also be advertised prior to the event.

Students may attend events even if not on the day they usually attend Hebrew School.  Temple B’nai Abraham membership is not required to join Kidz Connect; friends are also welcome to join.

A calendar of this year’s programs (subject to change) may be found below.  Reminders and RSVP’s will be sent throughout the year via e-mail.  Our opening events for this year will be the week of September 21 and 22, with the same ICES and ICE BREAKERS theme on each day. 

Please completely fill out the Registration/Permission form (also download below) to sign up your child for Kidz Connect, and send it in together with a $45 check made payable to Temple B'nai Abraham, to my attention, by September 19.

We need adult volunteers at each event throughout the year. Please let me know if and when you are available.  Siblings are welcome to accompany you when volunteering.

Joining and becoming a part of Kidz Connect is a valuable asset to your child’s Synagogue and Religious School experience, enhancing a feeling of belonging through social and fun activities!
