Israel Solidarity Mission 2024
Israel Solidarity Mission II, July 2024
join us for the second
|
We have an opportunity this July to engage in the particularly sacred work of supporting our extended Jewish family in Israel. After our February group came back profoundly moved by what they did and what they saw, others expressed an interest in going as well. The Temple is sending its second solidarity mission to Israel for a packed journey of witnessing, learning, and working to help Israelis on the ground and advocate for Israelis back here in the United States. I’ll be leading the trip along with our phenomenal travel partners in Israel. The solidarity trip will take place July 14-19, with the delegation staying overnight in Jerusalem; an option to extend to July 21 is available. Please find the tentative itinerary attached. Please know that we plan on leaving in the late evening of July 14 so that those visiting children at camp should still be able to make the flight. Given changes on the ground every day, this itinerary may change, and there are likely more trip components to be added. The trip will include: - Visiting the Gaza-adjacent region, and specifically, sites attacked on October 7 - Meeting with Israelis directly impacted by October 7 - Volunteering (likely in agricultural fields, preparing food for soldiers, and more) - Paying respects at the Nova Music Festival site - Praying at the Kotel for the welfare of the State of Israel and the IDF - More! Land: The trip cost (land, based on a minimum of 15 travelers) is $3,114 per person in double room; Single supplement for main mission: $550. Main Mission Land Rate Includes: Rates do not include: Click here for the registration form, now open through SY Travel. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible, as this trip has limited availability. This trip is appropriate for first-timers to Israel as well as repeat visitors. Non-temple members are welcome when sponsored by temple members. Security and safety are paramount on this trip. All precautions will be taken. Please let me know if you have any questions. This will be an enormously meaningful and necessary mission. I look forward to joining with you in this sacred endeavor.
